Français + surf camp Printemps à Biarritz

Want to improve your French while enjoying the waves this spring? Our spring program in Biarritz is specially designed for teens ages 15 to 17, offering a complete language immersion experience and surfing sessions on the beautiful Basque Coast.

Whether you choose to stay for one or two weeks, you’ll enjoy interactive French lessons (aligned with the CEFR standards), professionally guided surfing sessions, and cultural activities—ensuring you’ll leave with improved French skills and unforgettable memories.

French Lessons

Each week, students attend 20 French lessons (15 hours) taught by qualified and experienced teachers specialised in French as a Foreign Language (FLE). Our interactive classes emphasize practical language skills, such as speaking exercises, listening practice, and dynamic role-playing. Lessons take place in classrooms in the center of Biarritz, providing an ideal learning environment that boosts confidence and fluency in everyday French.

Surf and activities in Biarritz

Experience four surf sessions per week, led by certified surf instructors along the stunning beaches of Biarritz – one of the world’s premier surfing destinations. Whether you’re a beginner or an advanced surfer, you’ll build confidence riding the Atlantic waves while refining your technique.


In addition to surfing, immerse yourself in local Basque culture through two weekly activities. Take part in an introductory session on Basque pelota or explore the interactive exhibits at the Cité de l’Océan, all while making new friends and practicing your French in real-life situations.

Accommodation with half-board in a host family

Living with a host family allows a full cultural immersion, letting students practice their French in daily life. Students typically share a room with other participants, promoting friendship and language practice. Half board includes two healthy meals daily – breakfast and dinner – giving participants a taste of authentic French cuisine while engaging in meaningful conversation around the table.

GOOD TO KNOW: Safety, 24/7 Support, and Transfers

The safety and well-being of our students are our top priorities. Each participant is provided with a 24-hour emergency number for round-the-clock assistance and support. A curfew is in effect at 11:00 p.m. on weekdays and 1:00 a.m. on weekends to ensure safety and compliance with the rules.
The host family provides arrival and departure transfers to and from Biarritz Airport or Biarritz Train Station, ensuring a seamless start and end to the student’s stay.
Students generally use public transportation to travel between host families, classrooms, and activity locations, encouraging independence and group bonding. Although tickets aren’t included, activity leaders help you purchase them on the first day.
